membership policy
1. Purpose
This Membership Policy outlines the rights, responsibilities, and conditions of membership at Upfield Soccer Club Inc. It aims to ensure a safe, inclusive, and well-governed environment for all members.
2. Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to individuals who:

Register as a player, coach, team official, volunteer, or committee member

Complete registration via the club’s nominated registration systems, including Dribl, MyFootball, and Passform
-
Pay all applicable membership fees

Agree to comply with this policy, club by-laws, codes of conduct, and the rules of Football Victoria and Football Australia
3. Types of Membership
Membership categories may include, but are not limited to:

MiniRoos (ages 6–11)

Junior Players
-
Senior Players (Men’s, Women’s, Over 35s)

Coaches & Team Officials
-
Volunteers
-
Life Members (where applicable)
Membership is valid for the season in which registration occurs and is not transferable.
4. Member Rights
Financial members are entitled to:

Participate in club activities relevant to their membership category

Access club facilities, training sessions, and matches

Vote at General Meetings where permitted under the Club Constitution

Be treated with respect, fairness, and inclusion
5. Member Responsibilities
All members must:

Comply with the Upfield Soccer Club Code of Conduct

Follow the rules and policies of Football Victoria and Football Australia

Treat players, officials, referees, volunteers, and spectators with respect

Not engage in behaviour that may bring the club or the sport into disrepute

Respect club facilities, equipment, and property
6. Behaviour Management & Discipline
The club reserves the right to take disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership, where a member:

Breaches club policies or codes of conduct

Engages in misconduct, unsafe behaviour, or harassment

Fails to comply with disciplinary decisions or directions
All disciplinary actions will be handled in accordance with principles of procedural fairness.
7. Privacy & Data Management
Upfield Soccer Club Inc. collects and manages personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Member information may be collected, stored, and managed through club-approved systems including Dribl, MyFootball, and Passform and is used solely for:

Registration and eligibility verification

Team, competition, and match administration

Club communication and operational requirements

Compliance with governing body and insurance obligations
Personal information is only shared with governing bodies or service providers where required for football administration or legal compliance.
8. Policy Review
Upfield Soccer Club Inc. reserves the right to amend this Membership Policy at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes where appropriate.
